This group is for climbers local to Baltimore. I created this group to help build a larger local climbing community. There are a couple local places to try when the weather is decent and two indoor gyms. EarthTreks Columbia and EarthTreks Timonium are the two local gyms we will be using. When the weather is decent there will be outdoor climbing events with camping nearby. There are nearby places like Rocks State Park, Shaffer Rock, and SugarLoaf.

20s and 30s Hiking Around Maryland offers local hikes that meet on the weekends. These hikes are generally from 2-12 miles and easy to hard.  There are some hikes that will be moderate-difficult to difficult, so please check the skill level of a hike before you RSVP. The Chesapeake Sailing Association was founded more than 20 years ago to bring skippers and  crew together to enjoy the beauty of the Chesapeake Bay. We are a Singles Sailing club with fun for all seasons with regular sails and social events throughout the year! We have boat owning skippers and crew. Baltimore Challenge organizes one-day urban races in Baltimore, MD for active adventure-seekers. Our first race is taking place on Saturday, July 3rd and will repeat every few months thereafter. I created the Baltimore Adult Soccer League to provide a social way for men and women of all skill levels to play good, quality 11 v 11 soccer. We play on the best outdoor soccer field in Canton (right across from Du Burns arena). Registration is open for the Coed league, which begins August 21st. Welcome to the Baltimore Social Sports meetup page.  We have several social sports leagues in the Baltimore Metro Area, our leagues include the Baltimore Bocce League, Baltimore Skeeball League and the Baltimore Alumni Flag football League.  We will use this page to organize all our events (end of season parties, registration deadlines and giveaways throughout the year!

If a fun, not so serious outdoor adventure/challenge with no expectations might clear your mind, pick a treasure that sounds enticing enough to look for. Something like a waterfall or diamonds(?) or some salamanders, maybe an artifact, or just a good time.  It could be a good way to get out and have a nice change.  You might bring pets, cameras, journals, etc.  Even if you don't want to join, I could use suggestions for the adventures.

This is a group for people in the Baltimore area interested in obstacle racing, adventure racing and really racing of any kind. This group won't be strictly focused on races, I'm planning on including all kinds of outdoor activities to keep us social and in shape and bring us active, outdoorsy folks together for some fun! We are an adult Lacrosse team participating in the Maryland Masters Lacrosse League as well as tournaments around the country. Our members are from all over but concentrated in and around the Baltimore / Annapolis area. We are a highly social group that enjoys playing lacrosse as well as promoting the education and interest of the sport to other adults, children and the community. Many of our members are current or former coaches and have played lacrosse at every level.

Let's get together for some outside adventures! We like to have easy hikes the whole family can enjoy. Hikes will be scheduled throughout the week, including daytime, evening, and weekend hikes in relatively close proximity to Baltimore City. Places like Stoney Run, Irvine Nature Center, Cromwell Valley Park can be explored with little ones. It will be a slower pace to let children explore plants, bugs, sounds and anything they might find interesting along the way!
