I played competitive sand doubles in FL and since coming to KC, there are obviously a lot less sand volleyball players here. However, we have been able to get a great mix of people (sand, grass & indoor players) who like to come out, play in the sun, and then hang after for some drinks. Gateway Ski Club was founded in the 1987 by individuals in the St Louis area that shared an interest in Nordic pursuits. Since that time the group has grown to over 300 members nationwide. The club typically takes 3 winter trips annually, two in North America and one in Europe. Gateway Ski Club is made up of varying types of winter sports enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.
